Outward Bound is a Greek jazz trio formed in 2007.
The band consists of Yiannis Iliakis (drums), Dimitris Neonakis (electric guitar) and Antonis Tsikandilaks (piano) — a group of passionate collaborators with no single leader.
Their distinctive sound is born through a deep-rooted friendship and a desire to perform and create as a group.
Their compositions are stripped-down, often lyrical, and cannot be confined to any genre.
Through them, they create a challenging environment where they are constantly called to employ their artistry and imagination drawing upon a wide palette of influences.
Their music embodies a natural flow and organic dimension that transcends boundaries and transports listeners into new worlds that extend across barriers from jazz to classical, post-rock and ambient to cinematic soundscapes.
They have collaborated with Ronan Guilfoyle (Ir), JD Walter (US), George Haslam (UK), Lynn Baker (US), Vangelis Katsoulis (Gr), Steve Kershaw (UK), Dine Doneff (Ge), Maria Kritsotaki (Gr).
